A head-to-head study enrolled 220 patients scheduled for electrical cardioversion (mean age 70±10 years, 35% female). Electrocardiograms were recorded using smartwatches (Withings Move ECG, Apple Watch Series 5) and six-lead ECG cards before and after cardioversion, with standard 12-lead ECG as the gold standard. The results showed that the six-lead ECG card had significantly higher sensitivity, specificity and correct classification rate than the smartwatches.
